The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo opened in 2008 in The Dubai Mall. It contains a large 10-million-liter tank, making it among the largest indoor aquariums in the world. All kinds of fish-from the small to the big sharks and rays-are the major attractions within the aquarium. Underwater Zoo is above the aquarium and presents animals such as penguins and the famous King Croc.

What to expect?
The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo greets you at the entrance with a huge, open lobby, ocean-themed. Friendly staff make you feel welcome. The dim blue lights and soft water sounds create a calm atmosphere.
Guides inform the visitors about the facts of marine animals and conservation. You can walk along a 48-meter tunnel that gives you 270-degree views of marine life, and visit the Underwater Zoo that homes penguins, piranhas, crabs, and the most known King Croc.
You can touch starfish in the touch pools, dive with sharks, and ride on a glass-bottom boat. There are small cafes offering snacks and drinks, restrooms, and seating areas. You can buy souvenirs at the end in the gift shop. The visit is enjoyable from start to finish.
